Meet Kelly
Well-meaning church leaders told me if I focus on Jesus, I would end up beside my future spouse. However, no intimate ally has arrived and I must navigate faith, work, and trim my front yard shrubs on my own.
And I am not alone.
Whether single by choice or circumstance, like you, I have felt a lonely ache on family Sundays, noted disapproving glances from jealous wives, and questioned my worth when not a wife or mother.
I am not “married to Jesus”, apt to hibernate in my house, nor do I have a clever answer for why I am not married. However, God has done deep work in my heart through my single life and my struggle to flourish within the body of Christ.
That is why I started Mission Single. I wish this ministry existed in my twenties and thirties as I wrestled with fears and unmet desires, trying to follow Jesus faithfully without a husband.
Single women are in a battle to belong in the Church, but there is more at stake. We are at war against a shrewd enemy seeking to confuse, derail, and destroy what God has created.
My name means warrior. I believe God is awakening an army of single Christian women with undivided devotion and shared stories of His faithfulness.
Fellow warriors, how about we war against the enemy of our souls together?’?’
